Dan Reilly

Co-Founder

Our managing Partner Dan brings over 20 years of experience in Global Investment Management to the Shafer & Reilly team; co-founding the firm after recognizing that high net worth families, individuals, and organizations needed a more personalized approach to financial planning and wealth management.

More than just a proactive leader with thorough knowledge of investment strategies, products, platforms, and markets, Dan is also someone who is passionate about helping individuals and organizations achieve their goals. Outside of work, Dan plays an active role within the local community; he is a former member of the Indian Creek Board of Trustees, and chaired the Investment Committee, which worked tirelessly on ICS’s “One Creek” campus unification plan.

Dan earned his BA in economics from Lynchburg College and an MBA in finance from Georgia State University. Dan is currently registered with FINRA with a Series 24, 7, 63, and 65 held with LPL Financial. Additionally, Dan has received the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation from the Investment Management Consultants Association.

P.J. Shafer

Co-Founder

In 2005 P.J. Shafer left his promising legal career to become a Financial Planner and has never looked back. As a partner at Shafer & Reilly P.J. leverages his unique background and over 15 years of Wealth Management experience seeking to ensure no opportunity is missed when it comes to helping clients address their financial goals.

A native of the Baltimore area, P.J. attended McDonogh before continuing his education, obtaining a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont, and a JD at University of Baltimore School of Law, ultimately passing the Maryland Bar and actively practicing for 7 years.

PJ and his wife are very active within the local community and have focused many of their charitable efforts on Autism related causes, including founding The Shafer Center, which has been serving children affected by autism since 2006.

Dan Reilly Jr.

Dan Jr. joins Shafer & Reilly Wealth Management as our Office Manager and assistant to Dan Sr. and PJ. Dan Jr. is a 2022 graduate of Loyola University Maryland where he studied Business and Finance. He designed and managed an oyster restoration project to obtain the Eagle Scout rank with the Boy Scouts of America. Dan, Jr. is excited to begin his financial services career with Shafer & Reilly Wealth Management. During his free time Dan Jr. enjoys fishing, boating, and skiing.

Linda Shafer

Partner Emeritus

Linda was an associate at a local Financial services firm and a Baltimore County High School Economics teacher for 18 years before starting her own advisory practice in 1991. Over the last 30 years Linda has proudly served generations of local families and organizations, committed to her core belief that every client should make informed decisions concerning their financial welfare with a thorough understanding of the potential economic issues that impact those decisions.

Linda was born and educated in Baltimore, Maryland. She received a BA degree from Towson University before earning her Masters of Science in Economic Education from Johns Hopkins University.
